  • War Of Infamy Interview - HomeLAN has posted an interview with "DonMiguel" of the War of Infamy mod team as he talks about their WWII themed mod for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon.
  • Halo & Halo 2 Audio Interview  - Music4Games has posted an interview with Bungie's audio director Marty O'Donnell and Aaron Marks as they talk about the use of audio in HALO and HALO 2.
  • Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Development Moves to Ritual - According to Valve, The primary development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (CS:CZ) has moved to Ritual Entertainment. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero introduces single player gaming to the world's #1 online action game. Representatives from Ritual and Valve will be presenting the latest on CS:CZ during a seminar at the The CPL's upcoming Counter-Strike Championships in Dallas, Texas. (Randy Pitchford .plan)
  • G.I. Combat patch v1.02d -  A new patch for G.I. Combat has been released, updating this 3D war game to version 1.02d.  The patch adds control improvements, gameplay enhancements, multiplayer changes, bug fixes and more. The new 102d patch requires a clean install of GI Combat. It will not install over the earlier patch 101. Please also note: Back up your saved games folder before reinstalling (readme).
  • American Conquest v1.45 patch - GSC Game World has released a new patch for American Conquest, updating their recent real-time strategy game (but keeping the version number at 1.45, apparently). This release brings improved networking code and enhanced AI, disables the memory log file, and tweaks a handful of missions.
  • Strategic Command - European Theater patch v1.45 - Battlefront.com and developer Fury Software released the eagerly awaited final patch (v1.06) for "Strategic Command - European Theater", a turn-based Grand Strategy wargame featuring the Second World War in Europe. The patch can be downloaded for free from www.battlefront.com, and offers dozens of gameplay enhancements, new features, tweaks and bug fixes and for those with the original game version it also adds full TCP/IP network and LAN support.
  • X2 - The Threat movie - EgoSoft has released a new movie trailer for X2 - The Threat, revealing more from their upcoming space combat exploration sequel.
  • GMX Media Announces Runaway - GMX Media today announced that it is to publish the blockbuster PC - Runaway: A Road Adventure. The game follows Brian, a student on the verge of graduating from college, is suddenly and mysteriously attacked by Mafia gangsters. During his desperate flight, in the company of a mysterious striptease dancer, he ends up meeting a wide range of unusual characters. But he has to figure out who's trying to help him or kill him. The player will have to be very ingenious to figure it out who's his friend or foe in this explosive mixture of murder, money, ambition, rituals and deception...a whole lot of deception.   • New Heroes of Might and Magic expansion - 3DO has announced that next spring it will release the second expansion pack for its turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic IV. The expansion pack will feature six new campaigns and a total of 40 maps, including some contest-winning fan-created single-scenario maps. The story-driven campaigns take place in Channon, a large kingdom on Axeoth's northern continent that has come under attack by no less than five invading armies. Players assume control of each of these five invaders.
  • Generals Developer Underground Site - This site is maintained by the Generals Development team and will provide info to the Generals community about the game, the Sage tools, current happenings, etc.
  • MTV Got Game - The CPL Press is reporting that pro gamer, Johnathan "Fatality" Wendel, will appear on an MTV documentary which will follow the gamer's progress at the CPL's Pentium 4 Processor Winter 2002 Event. The one hour program called True Life will track Fatality from practice through to event aftermath. Previously, the award-winning documentary series has brought us a glimpse into the lives of cheerleaders, ecstasy users and porn stars, to list a few.(thanks PlanetQuake)
  • Donkey Kong at the CPL - CompUSA's game fixx announced today details of its participation in the CPL Pentium Processor Winter Event to take place December 18-22, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.  CompUSA's game fixx will have a massive exhibition area at the CPL Event with a number of intense attractions including classic arcade machines like PacMan and Donkey Kong, an intense competition featuring Unreal Championship on Xbox Live! and a cool raffle with the grand prize being an authentic PacMan classic arcade.
  • Warcraft III Mac Demo - Blizzard Entertainment has released a Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Mac Demo (106MB).
