The Empire Interactive has released
a playable demo of
Total Immersion Racing, their driving game that combines the highest quality
driving technology, real-world racecars & tracks and immersive gameplay. The
demo clocks 150MB or 51MB (the smaller version requires DirectX 8.1b installed)
and allows you to race two different cars in Single-Lap and Time Trial modes on
the Monza and Talheimring tracks. Mirrors:
3DGamers,
Tiscali Games,
WorthPlaying.

| Comments from Fan of Real Racing | posted - 03:40 PM CET - Nov,26 2002 | | Thank heavens for demos, but it was to late for me. I brought this game and decided to return it 5 minutes after playing it. This is no more than an average arcade game. The developers did not seem to have a clue about what makes a successful racing game or even car handling at that... take my word for it that the cars in this game must be rubber-bolted to the road somehow, since it is impossible to destabilize IT. I am sure Electronic Arts and Code Masters will be more than willing to help this thing out of its misery. The old 1999 game “Sports Car GT” is still much better. TIR is not worth more than one dollar $1. In short it sucks. | |
