- Homeplanet Preview - The guys at GamersClick have posted
a
hands-on preview of Homeplanet, based on playing en early beta build of
this promising space sim from Russian developers Revolt Games
- Age of Mythology Interview - GameSpy.com has posted
an
interview with Greg Street and Ian Fischer of Ensemble Studios as they
talk about Age of Mythology.
- Breed Pushed Back To Q2 2003 - CDV Software Entertainment has today
revised the release dates Breed in order to add some crucial features and
ensure the finished titles devastate the competition. Players the world over
will be able to sample the game in all its glory towards the end of 2002, when
a single-player demo will be made available. Breed will be published during Q2
2003.
- Imperium Galactica III - Hungarian developer Mithis Games (The same
dudes who left Philos Labs to start their own company) has joined CDV and
Philos Labs to work on space strategy title Imperium Galactica III. Originally
planned for release at the end of 2002, the extra development time will allow
the team to add a new multiplayer mode - extending the shelf life of this
already colossal game.
- Ghost Recon Patch v1.4 - Red Storm has released a new
patch v1.4
(5.8MB) for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon.
This new patch fixes several issues brought about by the previous 1.3 patch
including the infamous 'No limp' removal which and numerous other issues as
well.
- The Fellowship of The Ring Patch v1.1 - Black Label Games has
released a
new patch v1.1 (download)
for just released The
Fellowship of The Ring. The
patch clocks 26MB and improves performance of video playback, fixes
bug where minimizing the game window would only pause the game the first time
and more.
- Astonia 3 Patch - Intent Software releases a
new patch for Astonia 3, their successful Fantasy-MMORPG. The new patch
includes another part of the Labyrinth Questt. Ishtar, Astonia's mighty God,
created these quests to prepare the warriors and mages of Astonia for the
fateful fight against the Gate Keeper. In the new part of the Labyrinth Questt
the players have to defeat three evil Demon Lords, using a combination of
combat and magic.
- Civ III: Play The World Gold - Infogrames today announced that
Civilization III: Play The World, the multiplayer add-on to Firaxis's
turn-based strategy game, has gone gold and is expected to be in stores by
Nov. 1.
- New Quake 3 SDK - id Software programmer Robert Duffy
updated his .plan
file, mentioning that id's FTP server now has a new Quake 3 (+ Team Arena)
SDK containing the 1.32 source code. There is no word on what specifically is
in the SDK files.
