- CS: Condition Zero Movie - Valve Software has released a movie trailer
(30.3MB) of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, showing the upcoming tactical shooter by
Gearbox Software in action. Mirrors: ShackNews, 3DGamers, Tiscali Games (there's 9MB DivX version).
- SPECNAZ: Project Wolf Shots - Slovakian developer Byte Software
has posted first seven screenshots of SPECNAZ: Project Wolf , an outdoor tactical
FPS.
- America's Army retail patch v1.1.1 (Marksmanship pack) - The promised Marksmanship pack
for America's Army: Operations has now been released. This Marksmanship pack adds the U.S.
Army's Sniper School to the game, along with an initial in-game server browser, a TeamTalk
option, various other new features, changes in the training requirements, bug fixes, and
more. Mirrors: 3DGamers, AAFiles, FilePlanet, GigaGames.de.
- Team Factor Mission pack #2 - 7FX has released the second mission pack (11MB) for
Team Factor, their team-based tactical shooter. This pack includes two new missons called
Desert Camp and Railway.
- GTA3 McDonalds MOD - Sveni.com website has been updated with new
McDonalds MOD for GTA3.
- Disciples II Patches - Disciples
II: Dark Prophecy official site has been updated with new patches v1.41 (North
American, Australian, Chinese, French, German and Italian flavors).
- Syberia updated demo - DreamCatcher has issued an updated playable demo
of Syberia, the 3D adventure by Microids. This release contains some minor improvements,
and comes with a full walkthrough for the demo.
- Legion Patch - The Legion's downloads page has been updated with patch (3.3MB) updating this
recent Romanic strategy game by Slitherine Strategies to version 1.0.6. The patch includes
two new campaigns and some fixes.
- JDOOM updated - Doomsday HQ has posted a new version 1.14.1 of jDoom,
based on the publicly available DOOM source code.
- Heroes 5 at the End of 2003 - In Conference Call, 3DO announced two new
products in the Heroes of Might & Magic series. They are the second expansion pack
that should be out in March 2003 and nothing less than Heroes 5, scheduled for december
2003! Unfortunately, no Might & Magic sequel is mentioned. Does this mean the end of
the series, or a delay until 2004? (thanks Celestial Heavens).
- Barking Dog Studios -> Rockstar Vancouver - Rockstar Games Announces
The Formation Of Rockstar Vancouver is the announcement that
Barking Dog Studios, the developer of Homeworld: Cataclysm and Global Operations, will
henceforth be known as Rockstar Vancouver. The studio currently employs
approximately fifty developers, and is working on a yet to be announced military video
game to be published under the Rockstar brand, and will soon begin development on a second
original video game title for Rockstar.
- Strategic Command: European Theater Ships - Battlefront sent us a press release announcing that it's
WW2 strategy game has shipped and should be on shelves shortly.
