- XBox hacked part II - There is a new movie released by
the apparently original crew that released the 1st movie (see above). The 2nd movie can be

- Judge wants demo of "modular" Windows - Over
Microsoft's objections, Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly says she'll let a computer expert demonstrate a
version of Windows with removable features.
- China censors web access - Chinese authorities have conducted a purge of more than 200 internet
cafes located in the suburbs of the country's second largest city, Shanghai.
- Sony plays ball with Aibo hackers - Sony has made a U-turn in allowing owners of its Aibo
robotic dog to modify the software, and will now offer free kits so that owners can teach
it new tricks.
- Virus Hoax Making The Rounds - 'JDBGMGR.EXE' - A virus
warning is making the rounds urging people to search for a purported virus on their hard
drives - a file named JDBGMGR.EXE. Chances are, they will find it, because the
"warning" is a hoax.
- McDonald's serves WLAN broadband in Japan - Fast-food diners in
Japan could soon be able to get broadband with their burgers. According to reports,
Internet investment outfit Softbank and McDonald's are to create almost
4,000 "hotspots" in McDonald's restaurants in Japan to give punters wireless
broadband access to the Net.
- Intel sleepwalks through Nvidia PR
- Nvidia today issued a press release confirming that mobos incorporating its GeForce 4
graphics chip work very well indeed with the new Intel/Rambus 533MHz FSB- supporting i850E
chipset. And curious reading it makes too.
- Intel to support DDR 333 - The chip giants will roll out the 845PE and the 845GE
but show them off at next month's Taiwanese Computex show, according to a report in
Digitimes. The chipsets will otherwise be quite similar to the 845G and the 845E, which
are the next introductions in this quarter. If the reports are correct, it gives a further
impetus to the DDR 333 push. Both Via and SIS, which also make chipsets, are already
shipping chipsets which use DDR 333.
- AMD & NVIDIA Website - AMD and NVIDIA worked together to develop the NVIDIA nForce
Platform Processors to help ensure that both the chipset and the AMD AthlonT XP
processor make the most of each other's architectural features. Two key AMD-backed
initiatives are fully integrated into the NVIDIA nForce chipset: DDR Memory and
HyperTransportT technology.

- Microsoft's Hidden Files in Windows XP - MSIE is known to
store your entire history inside a HIDDEN file somewhere in your comp for unknown reasons
(or should I say, Unproven reasons). OK, then we just click on "clear history"
and "delete files" no? NO! it might seem like it erased the history, but it
didnt.
It is stored inside a file called "Index.DAT", which is Hidden. But not hidden in
the regular way, even if you enalbe the "view hidden files" option, you will
still not be able to see it or even search for it.

If microsoft want to spy you they can do it in a LOT of ways. I think this file is more a file for indexing propourses to search a specific file in the cache due the really high amount of files in this folder and NO a file to spy you. | | The old comment system has been replaced.
