Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix MP Test - demo

As promised, Activision has released the multiplayer test
(51.2MB) for Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, the ultra-realistic sequel to the
groundbreakings hit from Raven Software. The test gives gamers a chance to compete in one
map across four different game modes including deathmatch, team deathmatch, elimination
and infiltration. Gamers who choose to participate in the test will also have access to 20
skins and all the weapons available in the multiplayer portion of the full game. Mirrors:

For those who want to find more details before the download , GameSpy has posted an Q&A
with Raven Software's Rick Johnson and Kenn Hoekstra, as they talk about this MP demo, as

Almost everything is done right, the textures and especially the models of the guns. For sound it could not have been any better although i don't know what the actual sounds of some of the weapon are like. My only gripe is that the back drop of the city takes away from the realistic feel of the game when it comes to graphics, plus the netcode needs alot of work. It seems that almost every server lags badly. If they can correct these minor issues I definitely will make this game part of my collection. Just my two cents. |
