Gameguru Mania - cheats

  Neverwinter Nights [cheats]
There are quite a few cheats for NWN, but getting them to work is a little tricky.

First, you will need to hit the tilde (~) key and type in "DebugMode 1" (case sensitive). Then hit the ~ key again and press TAB. This should show you a list of the different functions available. Hit TAB again to scroll down the list.

Cheats: (case sensitive)(X is a number)
SetCHA X - Sets your Charisma
SetSTR X - Sets your Strength
SetINT X - Sets your Intelligence
SetWIS X - Sets your Wisdom
SetCON X - Sets your Constitution
dm_givegold X - Gives the X amount of gold to you
GetLevel X - Raises you an additional X amount of levels
dm_god - Makes you invulneralble (does not require you to click on the player character)

On some of the cheats, it will simply give you a message saying "success" after you enter the code and press ENTER. Other ones, such as the SetCHA will say "Entered Target Mode". You must click on your character to enable the changes on your character.

Check out the in-game listing, since it contains a whole bunch of different functions.

Speed code
Using the debug mode type in dm_mylittlepony

You get a horse head (I got mine on my weapon), you move faster, and you make horse sounds when you stop moving.

Angry cows
Use the Debug Mode console and type in "dm_cowsfromhell" and prepare to laugh. Try it when surrounded by enemies. Usage only in single player, offline.

nwnplayer.ini modification
If you modify any value using the console your character becomes "invalid" for the next chapter. To fix this, change the following setting in your nwnplayer.ini

"Single Player Enforce Legal Characters=1" to
"Single Player Enforce Legal Characters=0"

Item hogging in dialogues
There are events in the game where you have to choose only 1 between 3 items and the NPC/Monster dissappears afterwards. You wished you could take them all, well here's how to do it...

This event happens inside helm's hold before the end of the Chapter 1 module. You will find an altar in the North-Eastern part of helm's hold where 'Chaohinon of the void' is being summoned but apparently has been discontinued. If you decide to continue the ritual, you will be given 3 choices for a reward:

1.) Cloak (Cloak of Movement | can be sold for 2400 gp)
2.) Double Axe (Ascorian Double Axe | can be sold for 1197 gp)
3.) Temporary stats increase.

Before choosing your reward, follow these steps:
STEP 1.) PAUSE the game.
STEP 2.) Choose your reward.
STEP 3.) Click on Chaohinon again to re-initiate the dialogue while paused.

You have to be fast enough to UNPAUSE then PAUSE AGAIN to view your dialogue choices till you get to the part of choosing your rewards. Repeat the steps to get as many rewards as you can till the time runs out.

This method can also be used for Helm's Guardian should you choose to banish Chaohinon of the void.

Level Up Code
This is how you do it.

Press ''~'' without the ''''. Next type DebugMode 1 and then type dm_givelevel #. # denoting the level you want. You can type DebugMode 0 to turn off the debug mode :P

The above code is useful if you inadvertantly render your character illegal when you alter some other stats of your character. (Happens to me)

Enabling the extra gore and critical hit "chunking"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Open NwNplayer.ini then where it says
Memory Level= 1 change it to 2 as well as
Memory Access=1 change it to 2.
Then in the game go options, and change Violence Level to
Special. GIBS AHOY!
Get the ultimate Character
To get the ultimate Character so that s/he can use any item, for example say you have created armour that requires a level 61 then use this to allow your chracter to use it.
First you need a mate to help, you will need to start a LAN game and get your mate to log in as DM, you need to create a new Char and enter the game, get your mate to level you to 20 (with the give level thingy)Give you max XP and Max Gold. Then Save the char (Dont forget to Level up though) Then leave the game and go into the NWN directory (EG. D:\\Games\\NeverwinterNights\\NWN)
Open up the localvaul folder, find you character (the saved one) and copy the file to the dmvault. Then start the game as DM Client and setup a server. Then just save the char again.
Then leave the game, copy the newly saved char from the dmvault and back into the localvault, your char will run the speed of the DM and be able to use any item!
