Guild Wars 3 Officially Announced - briefly|

ArenaNet has officially confirmed that Guild Wars 3 is in active development.
The new game is described as an action-adventure MMORPG set in the frontier of Orr, featuring a unique movement system with gliding, wall-running, and momentum-based traversal.
Combat will blend action RPG elements with the series’ signature build-crafting and skill collection system.
Players will take on the role of a Vaelwarden, protecting Orr alongside nature spirits and other players.
Beta testing is scheduled to begin in **Fall 2027**, though no full release date has been announced yet.
ArenaNet has also confirmed that Guild Wars 3 will not have a battle pass or a monthly subscription. Studio lead Colin Johanson said the team does not want to “keep people hostage” with systems that make players feel like they have to log in every day or pay every month to keep up. |
