  • Intel Z87 Motherboard Review with Haswell: Gigabyte, MSI, ASRock and ASUS - The ASUS Z87-Pro sits between a rock and a hard place.  ASUS is one of few motherboard companies that sit on the crest of innovation, coming up with new ideas that ultimately will filter through product ranges in each successive generation.  Obviously the ones coming up with the ideas face the brunt of the cost, but unlike the medicine industry where markups are common if there is a sole solution to your problem, the motherboard market is cut-throat enough that the resellers, system integrators and end users dictate the pace of play with their wallet.
  • Google reportedly working on Android game console - According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Google is working on an Android console as well as a smart watch that runs the operating system. The devices could be released as early as this fall, the report claims, citing unnamed sources. The report doesn't clarify if Google would make the device itself or if it would be made through a third-party hardware provider, a move the company has used extensively with its Nexus brand of smartphones and tablets. The Journal's sources claim the devices are being made in anticipation of similar products by Apple, which has long been rumored to be working on smart watch and television devices that may possibly run iOS apps.
  • Time Warner Cable to offer 300 live channels on Xbox 360 - According to the Los Angeles Times, Time Warner Cable (TWC) has joined forces with Microsoft to launch a TV app for the 8-year old platform. The deal will bring approximately 300 live channels to Xbox 360 users, provided that they are already TWC subscribers and have an Xbox Live Gold membership. Some of the most popular channels will include CNN, Bravo, AMC and Comedy Central. With so many Xbox 360 consoles in the hands of prospective customers, Microsoft is hopeful that the appli
  • Sony Cut The PS4 Camera to Beat Microsoft on Price - IGN claims that Sony beat the Xbox One on price by dropping the camera from the console bundle.
  • Apple Releases Second Beta of iOS 7 - Apple today made available iOS 7 Beta 2 to iPhone and iPad developers. Apple typically releases new betas every two or three weeks leading up to the general release of a major iOS version. The update contains bug fixes and other improvements. The final version of iOS 7 is not expected to arrive until the fall.
  • Apple's upcoming iOS 7 can be navigated using head motion - According to 9to5Mac, an anonymous tipster informed them that the forthcoming iOS 7 operating system could be navigated using head movements. The editorial team then tested the most recent version of the beta software and found the claims to be true. The list of functions that you can complete with just a tilt of the head is rather impressive. You can bring up the home screen, adjust the volume, enable Siri, access the App Switcher, and do everyday actions such as 'tapping' to open up an app or link. While all of this sounds great, the feature is admittedly time consuming and not ideal for those that don't necessarily require it. To make this possible, the iPhone makes use of the front-facing camera that is often used for Face Time. The program loops through all available options or applications, and the user must jerk their head to either the left or right to make a selection.
  • Sony Xperia Z Ultra Hands-On Video - The Xperia Z Ultra has been designed beautifully and, as you can see in the image above, the 6.4 inch Android 4.2 device dwarfs the company's flagship Xperia Z. The good news is that this doesn't mean that it's too big to fit into your pockets, it's just 6.5mm thin. In comparison the Xperia Z measures in at 7.9 mm. The Z Ultra is a bit on the heavy side though, weighing in at 212g (the smaller screened Galaxy Mega 6.3 weighs 198g). As rumored earlier, the ZU is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (2.2GHz quad-core processor), and although it's big, the 1080p display appears to be pretty sharp and bright. As you will see in the video, it supports not just capacitive styluses but also graphite pencils, and it will be certainly fun writing notes on a new handwriting recognition keyboard. On the downside, you get just an 8-megapixel cam rather than the 13-megapixel shooter on the Xperia Z. Also, there's no flash. So, this may not be the device that shutterbugs will be interested in. The speaker position is also a bit annoying with the ZU, though that's a pretty minor issue for most. The device supports LTE, has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a microSD card slot. And it has a 3,000mAh battery and is water and dust proof. The Xperia ZU will launch in Q3.
  • Google Glass-Equipped Surgery (video) - We have already been given a lot of chances to see how the world looks through the Google Glass. And now, Dr. Rafael Grossmann of the Eastern Maine Medical Center has shown how the high tech wearable computer could be very useful in healthcare by performing a Google Glass-equipped surgery.
  • Canada Finally Getting Kickstarter - According to the Kickstarter website, the company will be open to Canada-based projects later this summer.
  • High Speed Footage Reveals an AK-47 Works Even Better Under Water - The AK-47 can be considered the Timex watch of the gun world. It takes a licking, and keeps on ticking, except that by ticking we of course mean firing round after round of ammunition. The automatic machine gun is based on a gas recoil system that uses the hot expanding gases of a bullet being fired to automatically rechamber the next round, and surprisingly, it appears to work even better under water. The folks at Smarter Every Day sunk an AK-47 in an aquarium and, using a high-speed camera, they discovered that the weapon happily still fires while under water. Not only that, it actually reloads itself faster, because H2O can't be compressed. But while the weapon appears to operate more efficiently while submerged, the bullets are also slowed, so unfortunately it's considerably less lethal for hunting mermaids and sharks.
  • Elysium - Official Trailer #2 - Set in the year 2159, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.
  • Holy Crap It's Good This Airplane Wasn't Flying! - Sat on that plane, the passengers must have been very, very, very relieved that it was still on the ground rather than in the air. Also, great control on the part of the pilot as he kept it together while the craft began to snake across the runway.

  • Amazing bead chain experiment in slow motion - These beads seem to levitate, defy gravity and jump out of the beaker. But how and why do they act like this? We met up with Steve Mould, the science guy from Britain's Brightest, to explore the science behind the "self siphoning beads" - also known as "Newton's Beads". To get a closer look at the phenomenon, we filmed them in slow motion to try to work out what exactly was happening, and how the behaviour changes with height.

Sony is screwing with everyone's minds and everyone is eating it up like candy. Now there is some evidence to support this. What other skeletons are going to come out of Sony's closet?

Old......old news ffs!
It was mentioned LONG before the consoles were released that Sony wouldn't bundle the Eye cam. This is seriously old shit...
Besides, who gives a shit about the camera? unless your 9 years old! Everyone gets the Bum box cam, so that M$ can check that you're not making incendiary devices or having sex with your dog. Oh, and to make sure they know who is selling and pirating their games.
Besides, the Bum box can't drop in price cause they hardwired the Kinect into it so you can't have a choice!
Like i bought a Kinect and the Eggbox came with it. fucking hilarious!
