  • Crysis 3 Performance, Benchmarked On 16 Graphics Cards  - If you want some graphics quality, you'll need at least a Radeon HD 7850 or GeForce GTX 650 Ti to play at that same 1920x1080 resolution. And for access to the very highest detail setting, be ready to shell out for a Radeon HD 7950 with Boost or a GeForce GTX 660 Ti. Gaming across three screens is increasingly popular, and enthusiasts with three 1920x1080 displays may want to drop to the Medium detail preset in order to encourage playable frame rates. Even then, you'll want at least a GeForce GTX 680 or Radeon HD 7970. Two GeForce GTX 660 Tis in SLI or Radeon HD 7950s in CrossFire are an even better bet.
  • Windows 8 Touch-Screen Laptop Price Cuts Coming - DigiTimes claims that Microsoft will be lowering licensing costs for OEMs in the near future and offering discounted or free software as well. Microsoft will lower OEM licensing costs by offering a discount of US$20 for 11.6-inch and below notebooks that are equipped with touch screens, according to Taiwan-based vendors and ODMs. For below 10.8-inch notebooks, tablets and hybrids, Microsoft will offer the US$20 discount plus free Office 2013 software, the sources indicated. OEM licensing rates for Windows 8 Pro stand at US$80-90 currently, the sources noted.
  • ModernMix lets you run Windows 8 apps as desktop apps - ModernMix allows you to configure how Windows 8 apps behave depending on where you launch them - Start screen or desktop. Options include launching apps in the standard full screen, a windowed full screen mode, or a smaller window so they can be minimized, moved around, and resized. They'll operate like regular desktop apps so you can have as many as you like open at a time and even pin them to the taskbar.
  • Microsoft Updates Bing Desktop with Facebook App - Microsoft has, without much fanfare, updated its Windows 8 version of Bing Desktop to which includes Facebook integration allowing direct access to news, messages and updates straight from the desktop.
  • AT&T Pushing Jelly Bean to the HTC One X - AT&T has announced that it is offering Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the HTC One X. The system update, which can be downloaded over the air, offers a number of improvements, including Google Now and Project Butter. The system update also makes the One X compatible with the Isis mobile payment service, and adds a number of AT&T-branded applications. The download is available beginning today.
  • Android on Surface Pro - Alright guys, this is the Surface Pro running Android-x86. Everything works except no connectivity, no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Also the buttons could have better functions such as the Windows button or the power button which just brings up a power menu. Overall it's a great start, it's booting, and the drivers are there for mostly everything.
  • Intel in Talks With Apple to Manufacturer iPhone, iPad Processors - The Chicago Tribune reports that Intel Corp. has been in talks with Apple, establish a foundry relationship.  The possible hookup could also see Intel co-design the company's next generation iPhone and iPad processors, based on a future Atom mobile processor.
  • Trend Micro claims 1 in 10 Android apps are malware - From over 2 million applications analyzed, Trend Micro found 293,091 of them to be outright malicious, while a further 150,203 were deemed to be 'high risk', contributing to a grand total of 443,294 dodgy applications for the platform. Of the 293,091 malicious apps, 68,740 of them were sourced directly from the Google Play Store; as the Store currently has around 700,000 apps, that roughly equates to 1 in every 10 apps being malicious. Aside from just malicious code, Trend Micro found 22% of apps inappropriately leaked user data, sending things such as IMEI numbers, ICCID numbers, contact data, telephone numbers and even microphone data over some sort of network. The security company also found a good 32% of apps were "Poor" in terms of battery usage, while 24% were poor in network usage, and 28% were poor in memory usage.
  • Google testing same-day delivery service - For nearly a month now, Google has been testing its own same-day delivery service named Google Shopping Express. This information comes from Reuters' unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
  • Microsoft enables China to spy on Skype users via keyword triggers - University of New Mexico student Jeffrey Knockel claims to have revealed an encrypted list of 1,100+ keywords within China's Skype client, TOM-Skype. This list, containing words like "BBC" and phrases like "Democratic Unionist Party", are suspected to be used for monitoring TOM-Skype users.
  • Check out these safe new ways police can stop criminals in their track - The coolest of the two is the Pit-BUL, which looks like a conventional speed bump but can deploy a net, as seen below, that almost immediately disables vehicles running over it. Designed more to protect an established position such as check point, border crossing or a military base entrance, this device works by using spikes attached to a large netting to lock up the front wheels. Each Pit-BUL costs up to $29,000, and since the nets are only useable for one application, additional net kits cost as much as $3,000.

  • After Earth - Official Trailer #2 - In the near future, humanity was forced to abandon the planet forever after cataclysmic events, and they reestablished mankind on the planet Nova Prime, light years away from Earth, and managed to rebuild society. Earth was left in its prime state, and continued to live on its own. 1,000 years later, a crash-landing of a small ship leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his father, army General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) stranded. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help so they can return to Nova Prime, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. The father and son must learn to work together and learn to trust one another if they want any chance of escaping Earth and returning home.
  • Gallowwalkers - Official Trailer - "Gallowwalkers" tells the story of a mysterious gunman, Aman (Snipes), the son of a nun, who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. Her break with God curses her son to be hunted by all those who die by his hand. That just goes to show how bad T.M's heuristics are, not how many actual apps are mallware. Google scans for mallware, hell, it won't even let you mail exe file as an attachment, not even in zip/rar if you don't password protect them.

Never had a problem with anything I've downloaded. I have Adaway installed as well as Zoner Antivirus. I'm sure if you delve into this data the end/starting point is a disgruntled Apple supporter. Mad because his device sucks shit.
