Sniper: Path of Vengeance patch v1.25 - patch

Shortly after the first patch (v1.2) released a few days ago, Xicat today released a new update for Sniper: Path of Vengeance, bringing this first-person shooter by Mirage Media to version 1.25.  This new patch weighs only 656kb and addresses over a dozen issues, including a memory leak crash between level loads with Lithtech, lack of proper vid codecs does not forbid the game to run,  Avi's will run on all the systems, fixed open file errors in Windows 98, Improved AI in melee enemies and shotgun cops and more.  The official website also claims that patch 1.2 was unsupported and this is the FIRST official patch from Xicat. I purchased this game, and I haven't had sound since I installed it ... needless to say, I won't play it until its fixed. I also don't think I will be bying anymore Xicat games in the near future due to this unaddressed problem. I have tried to contect their tech support line, to leave several messages .. I e-mailed then recieved a generic response that the patch should fix my issues .. and it has not ... The game still has no sound, and I have retired it to a drawer probably never to be played again ... sorry I just needed to vent a little frustration ...

it's fine, any frustration towards this game is natural due to it being only comparable to my high school game project. in other words, I wouldnt even get it if it were free.
