Nvidia Will no Longer Support 32-bit OS - tech
(hx) 02:00 PM EST - Dec,22 2017 - Post a comment / read (3)
If you're running a 32-bit operating system and are using an Nvidia GPU you better start thinking about upgrading to 64-bit if you want to continue to get game ready drivers. Yes, you read that correctly. Nvidia will no longer provide drivers for 32-bit operating systems after the 390 driver release. Not surprising. Existing drivers will probably keep extreme legacy programs on older operating systems going for another 10 years or so. That should be adequate. And new games usually require more than 4GB ram (32 bit OS limit), so I don't see a problem with this.

Totally agree with that move.

Human chaos reduced a drop. :)

Let's just hope they don't try to dictate anything else in a device driver.

Actually its a pretty dumb/lazy/cheap move since it's the same driver just compiled for 32-bit. Cut backs in development but yet prices of their cards keep rising. And for those with 32-bit systems they are f'd. Not everyone uses their pc for gaming and their need for 64-bit is not essential or required. Lots who buy pre-built PC's will be f'd. What it means is people with 32-bit systems, either work pc's or casual users will lose out. Just another reason not to buy nvidia equipped pc's and for people to look more at AMD and Intel.
