Codename: Nina - Global Terrorism Task Force (hx) 02:19 PM CEST - Jun,06 2003
I don't usually write highly critical reviews. Basically if I don't like a game I don't mess with it much and don't bother to write about it. However there are some bad games that deserve a special mention, like this game. Codename: Nina - Global Terrorism Task Force is LithTech engine powered first person shooter developed by Detalion ( Schizm makers).
In the game you play the role of Nina, the agent of secret international anti-terrorist organization, which tries to free the world of the various terrorist nets. The organization only uses agents which have some extraordinary capabilities. Nina is sent to various places around the globe to solve problems with various terrorist groups, and each episode gives us chance to control her performing their duty. The first episode places us in Far East where Nina has to destroy a secret bio-chemical weapon factory and she also discover traces of much more dangerous conspiracy involving specific nuclear weapons.
What you can expect from gameplay? Codename: Nina offers 9 very boring and confusing missions (single-player only), "awesome arsenal" of two weapons (only two weapons per level), lame "unique psychic power weapon" (she holds out her hands and shoots squiggly rays of light at enemy), no compass or map, dumb enemies, very poor graphics, truly awful voice acting, and predetermined save points or just replay the same portion over and over (no real no savegame option).
Honestly I did expect a more catchy game than this frustrating and very
mediocre made shooter. This game is just bad, very bad. I don't recommend this
game for any purpose. Needless to say there are much better free FPS games (like
Cube) than
Codename: Nina which costs twenty bloody bucks.
System Requirements: Intel Celeron 600MHz, 64 MB RAM, CD-ROM 12 x, 300 MB HDD space, 3D accelerator with 32MB
snd: 1/5 - poor, truly awful voice acting, bugs gfx: 1/5 -
very dated - looks like one of a previous game generation, poorly rendered, bugs playability: 1/5 -
poor, boring, lame, clumsy, buggy, no multiplayer, high price ($20)
genre: first-person shooter release: April 2003 developer: Detalion publisher: Valusoft

| telly nerabox | posted - Jun, 07 2003 - 01:58 | well i finally figured out why most of the games get good ratings. its cause hx does not post games he thinks are regular bad JUST SUPER BAD. LOL!! ??
the only graphics that look ok to me are the plants. i did not like the fact the
terrorists are all asian it would be cool to see a fat Western terrorist guy/gal in the game.
but it does not matter too much really since i use this game to wipe the dirt of my shoe. but its kind of hard to wipe dirt using dirt.
