Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns (SWGB:CC) is an expansion pack for the original Star War Galactic Battlegrounds, Lucas Arts' Star Wars-themed RTS game built on Ensemble Studios' BANG engine which was used in Age of Empires 2. SWGB:CC introduces two new factions to the many factions seen in Galactic Battlegrounds. They are the Confederacy and the Galactic Republic. These new civilizations join the existing six (Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Trade Federation, Royal Naboo, Gungans and Wookies) from the main game. It adds about what you’d expect - fourteen original single-player combat scenarios (seven missions for the Confederacy, six for the Galactic Empire), new civilizations, environments, vehicles, and plenty of new units. The Confederacy introduces Nexu and the Acklay (fast&deadly animal predators) and also the Geonosian Warrior (powerful winged-like creature),  the Galactic Republic introduces some new units such as the Air Cruiser, AT-TE Assault Mech etc. Both factions have the ability to create power droids which have the same effect as the power core but they are portable and more resistant. The multiplayer remains unchanged, but this expansion  increases the maximum population limit from 200 to 250, that allows even larger battles involving even more units. Well, it's difficult to write the final verdict, because this expansion isn't a major upgrade or downgrade from the original game. Probably depends if you are a hard-core Star Wars fan and I'm not - I actually haven't  seen Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. While I really enjoyed Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, I was quite disappointed from playing this add-on, also the tweaking of the original game didn't impress me much. It's doesn't mean that SWGB:CC is bad, just it's not for those who aren't hard-core fans of Star Wars-themed RTS.
