How come? :) In the far future humanity has developed new technologies and new environments for new kind of racing. The Ballistics pilots run their hover bikes on magnetic fields inside a track that allows full 360 degree strafe movements. The races take place in many different settings, all with their own unique design and environment - all shaped to breed the speed. You have to control your hovering Speeders by two systems. One where the Speeder attaches to the tunnel's magnetic field. In this mode the Speeder can strafe 360 degrees around the track still keeping its direction. The benefit is more control in curves and when tackling and overtaking opponents. The second control system is enabled by hitting the detach switch on the dashboard and release from the magnetic field. This will enable free motion, loop, roll and turn inside the tunnels. The free movement allows you to reach certain positions in the track that allow pick up of bonus power ups or price money. The downside of free movement is of course that it is harder to control and can cause crashing at high speeds. In addition there are no brakes, instead you have a cooling system strapped to your supercharged engine which slows you down a bit whenever you use it. Ballistic features 7 highly detailed and original tracks, 40 Speeder parts catering for over 10.000 possible Speeder combinations, 9 cool tunes, futuristic 3D interface and multiplayer up to 8 players. The game play is ultra-fast and simple, you have to avoid of crashing to obstacles, collect booster fuel, use cooler zones and certainly win race :) Ballistic is probably the fastest motor racing game ever made, if you like adrenaline sports and speed you will like this game! In my opinion, the obstacles placed on the map are extremely poorly done, and they make you have to slow down to avoid them, which sort of ruins the point of being able to go fast. The obstacles are fine, you just have to have a good cognitive map of the tracks. A real racer walks the tracks before he races.
