ZAX - The Alien Hunter
(hx) 01:06 AM CEST - Oct,06 2001

Zax-The Alien Hunter is an excellent action/adventure game that looks more like a classic shoot 'em up, plain and simple - kinda like Diablo. The game features nonstop action, tricks traps and puzzles that cover 22 missions, 100+ maps, 7 different environment types and frequent weapon upgrades throughout your adventure. Don't be afraid you will bored, there are hundreds and hundreds of robots to decimate, the maps are richly detailed and the characters well constructed and well portrayed. Although the gameplay is pretty simple, this game is damn addictive - once you start it you won't want to stop :P Download playable demo (50MB).

snd: 4/5 - great sound effects, decent music
gfx: 4/5 - great, richly detailed maps, well constructed characters
playability: 4/5 - simplistic but very addictive - never frustrating, multiplayer up to 16 players (include internet, Capture the Flag and Deathmatch' options), excellent controls
genre: action-adventure/shooter
release: September 2001
developer: Reflexive
publisher: Jowood

I have played the game non-stop and I must say that I agree review to some extent about cool and crips graphics, but... There is an issue here: - The game does get quite boring after a while when an pussle get's far to "extended" on it's own, like with the "two idols and machine"... Yes, for an "action-adventure" it's little to much "do-that-for-that-to-happen", and while the graphics are crisp there is little of "where-was-that", yes, everything looks the same... It's little like a story from real hell with this game, yes, and old man died and ended up in hell, and then he met other there to and said, wow, I can't be in hell as I see naked woman dancing just a bit from here... Then another man said to him: - well, look at the pussy... and the man did so, and said, what, none of the girls have any holes!!! Yes, the other man said: - You are in HELL! - - - And with that said I will say: - This game is like in HELL, it's PERFECT, but it lacks the REAL adventure part and it's to much inbreed and get's boring to damed fast! Well, I may complain, but soon I will start up a BETTER site than gamecopyworld and gameguru alltogheter becouse I am tired of all commercial and halfbaked things, I want patches and cracks and trainers on the SAME place.... so just MSG me for mor info!
