Evil Dead : Hail to the King is third person action game based on Sam Raimi's cult classic Evil Dead trilogy. But it doesn't really matter whether you have seen the movies or not, there isn't much of a story to follow. The game takes place eight years after Army of Darkness and pits Ash once again against the armies of the undead. Evil Dead : Hail to the King features voice-over by cult favorite Bruce Campbell (star of the Evil Dead trilogy), over 20 enemies with an evil array of horrific bosses, huge environments include a blend of favorite Evil Dead settings and new, original locales that serve to expand on the existing Evil Dead mythos, weapons including Evil Dead favorites like the axe, rifle, shotgun, and the legendary chainsaw. The gameplay is rather boring than action, some areas will spawn so many creatures that you'll eventually decide to run away because you've grown bored or annoyed to kill them again and again. I very like the Evil Dead movies, but such cool movie would deserved to be theme for much better game than Evil Dead : Hail to the King. Simply, this game looking like an unsuccessful attempt to do Resident Evil clone.
