Majesty: The Northern Expansion (Standalone)
(hx) 01:10 AM CEST - Apr,02 2001

The Northern Expansion is the expansion set for Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. This expansion has a multitude of new features ranging from new hero abilities to new monsters, new structures, new spells, new freestyle options, and of course, new quests. Majesty: The Northern Expansion includes 12 new quests (like all Majesty quests each one is very unique and applies new gameplay elements and graphics), 6 new buildings to the mix, 6 new player spells including Change of Heart, Frost Field, Earthquake, Chain Lightning, Gate and Dismiss. I liked to use the Frost Field spell that periodically causes damage to adjacent enemies. In addition numerous heroes have received powerful new abilities : Warriors of Discord gain a Howl Attack, Healers and Paladins can now cast a Harm Undead spell (healers can now heal themselves too), Solarii can throw a Fire Hammer which has a bonus versus buildings, Adepts gained a Double Attack ability, and long range teleport, Barbarians sometimes go unconscious instead of dying and Gnomes become Gnome Champions at Level 8. The game includes plenty of new monsters such a Ice Dragons (similar to regular dragons, but with awesome defensive stats), Shadowbeasts (an undead super-varg), Ratman Shamans (magical ratman that cast multiple beneficial spells on other ratmen), Ratman Champions (strong ratman that wield large axes) and others. It is important to note that unlike the original Majesty, monsters are much more likely to attack your buildings, which causes you to play more defensively. If you liked original Majesty, you must have this very well done expansion disk.
