Screamer 4x4 is very accurate 4WD-vehicle simulation that offers all the excitement of off-road driving. Your mission in the Championship is race over a variety of courses, driving from point A to point B, passing through gates that define the route that you must take. Finish in the top three and move onto the next race - easy. Screamer 4x4 features actual 4WD licensed vehicles to choose from, including : Jeep Cherokee, Jeep CJ7, Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes G Wagon, Mercedes Unimog, Mitsubishi Shogun, Toyota Hi Lux Pick-up and Raba, weather effects, coupled with different times of day, effects the way the game is played. The game includes six different terrain's, each with 10 courses to choose from, giving the player over 60 different courses to race on, Championship Mode and five multi-player games with unique courses:Catch Up/Destruction/Point to Point Racing/King of the Hill/Off-Road Rally and also five single player games: Tutorial, Free Drive, Championship, Trophy, Pathfinder Championship Mode. The game graphics are quite good, the trucks are beautifully and accurately rendered. Also reflections are spot on and the suspension works realistically. But the scenery looking weird, for en example dirt thrown up from the wheels consists of black triangles , water is just a flat with non-reflecting surface etc. Hard to say some final verdict, because I didn't try multiplayer game which could have been more fun than quite boring single player mode. Better to try this playable demo (32MB)(the demo will end after 8 minutes).
