X-tension is a new massive standalone add-on pack to X : Beyond The Frontier from Egosoft. The add-on pack includes 30 additional ships , more independent (non-linear) missions, an autopilot, a new navigation schematic such a 3D Galaxy map, a new enhanced graphic engine, a simpler menu structure (a new menu system that allows players to control ships and factories remotely), a new command structure for the ships, and numerous new ship upgrades. Also the AI has been improved, making combat more challenging. Although game looks to be much better than Beyond The Frontier and missions are much smaller, the game is still very boring.
