Bang! Gunship Elite
(hx) 02:53 PM CEST - Jul,22 2000

Bang! Gunship Elite is a new 3D space-combat simulator similar to Starlancer and Freespace2 but its mixed with some elements of Descent. Bang! combines both single and multiplayer games with lots of play options. The basic story focuses on Xaha, a young Arikhan fighter pilot. The Arikhans are the military third of the Alliance of the three races. The Alliance has a monopoly on the production of the substance known as "Kha". The Sektar, an evil race banished from the Alliance years ago, have found new allies in the Morgoths. These evil Sektar are looking to start a massive war and you, you're Xaha. You have to fight! The single player campaign includes 19 different missions and is completely linear, meaning that the you won't be allowed to move on to the next mission without successfully completing the current one. The levels are displayed on a map that visually tracks your progress from mission to mission, and each level has a set of time-critical objectives that need to be carried out. The game graphics are very enjoyable, because the graphics engine constructed by Rayland Interactive specially for this game uses new rendering and particle engine effects that supports resolution up to whopping 1600x1200 (GE256). Besides Bang! uses gorgeous and extremely detailed bitmaps to lead-in the 3D space of each level. Bang! looks to be fast and frantic space-arcade shooting action with some objectives so if you are into shooting games let's try demo.
