Diablo II
(hx) 10:58 AM EDT - Jul,03 2000

Diablo II is the sequel to Blizzard's best selling adventure/rpg Diablo, which was released in 1996. Diablo II continues the story contextually from the first game - battle with the evil Diablo, Baal and Mephisto and an array of other demons. Diablo II offers 5 character types. You can be a Barbarian, Paladin, Sorceress, Amazon, or Necromancer. For an example Barbarian is a pretty fightable super strong human warrior who can use both of his hands for combat, while the Necromancer will be able to raise the dead to fight for him. The biggest enhancement to the game is the skill structure. Each of the five classes has 30 skill options split into 3 categories of 10 skills each. The gameplay is very addicting, you want to build your character as much as possible. Six quests are available with 4 levels to conquer, and awards are granted upon the completion. You can buy new armor, swords, shields, bows, gloves, boots and potions. Now you can hire a mercenary to fight by your side, the better the mercenary, the more expensive it is. Diablo II might not look that impressive visually, but Blizzard's effort has bringed lots of great quests, combat and impressive atmosphere, Although Diablo II has a fixed resolution of 640x480 (ONLY!), the graphics are tolerable and the magical effects are really beautiful. The sound and music are really precious. The voice acting is excellent and the music in the game matches the tone perfectly. Also each enemy grunts, groans and screams enough, and the spell effects carry a nice sound with them. Diablo II is highly addictive game, which targets the adventurers, the action gamers, and the puzzle solvers, so better to don't play this game if you have a life :)
