Descent 3 screenshots (cube) 03:03 AM CEST - Jun,14 1999
So, the long awaited release is finally out.
And the gameplayers will not be disappointed!
The game brings much improved graphics engine
which uses 3d hardware acceleration features greatly.
The impressive visual effects include flares, lasers, blows,
perfect lighting and shadowing of the interier and flying
objects. The sound fits to the game, while music
makes the epic atmosphere.
The computer AI is well made, if the enemy finds
that you're near destroying him, the attacking robots turn back
hide in the holes, finding better position to shoot on you.
Control of the ship can look complicated at the start,
but a very fine guided tutorial training at the beginning
will teach you what you'll need in the game.
And you're not alone, there's a great helper, little
robot, to whom you can give various commands, like to
find an energy source, or to find right way to finish the mission.
Then this cool gadget finds the way, while deploying flares,
to navigate you through the steel labyrinth.
If you're too slow, it gets back to you and annoyes you to hurry :)
Enough words, take a look on the screenshots and
run to your nearest gameshop and buy a game :)
