I guess it's a good thing that was "pre-beta" footage.... haha

Looks pretty plain to me. AI is as dumb as usual. That mega-texturing thing this game is supposedly employing doesn't really seem to add much.

Those missile shots and explosions are some of the worst I've seen... like they were taken out of a comic book or something.

Not to mention 0 physics implementation. Ok, so a huge bomb drops on some mech blowing it to bits and putting a perfect crater into the ground, but the house made from wood next to it just remains perfectly intact. Not even burn marks.

I hope this was all nVidia's doing, just trying to promote their card or whatever, because I no longer care about this game. Some of the previous screenshots were nice, but this video seals it.

I think it looks pretty good, better than what EA is offering up. I know a few of my friends got to see it played at Quakecon and they are absolutely in love with it.

I think you're either pulling my leg or your dick.

For an online game excessive physics is pointless, do we really want to be lagging out the server and clients exchanging burn marks or tracing the path of leaves blown away in a blast wave.

AI? Its an online multiplayer game!

Mega-Texture is supposed to make the map making process easier and allow for a much greater level of detail to be employed without a level designer combing over the map inch by inch. We'll see its worth when the map makers get hold of the technology.

Anyhow, vid looks good to me. Agree with Jelster on this one!

I was almost gonna buy bought BF2142(cuz theres lots playing it) yesterday but instead bought new Splinter Cell. Best one in the series I think...Game doesn't lag at all for me unlike for others, has decent gfx. It's hard as hell too. I like that.
