I dont think that it is the best game ever although it is good.

Although sure it is a great game but not the best of em all. ID software should have got D3 way back. It has been a very long time when D2 was done and over with.

You don't even have Doom 3 yet, how do you know its only good?
And besides, even if you have the alpha, that isnt even the full game, just a demonstration from E3.

Im getting this on Friday, and I dont care about the AI and repetivity, its a first person shooter, not an RPG or something like that.

gameplay is VERY thin.
graphics are okay, but not as earth shattering as they've been made out to be. It's got lights and bumpmapping... big deal.

Some scary parts, BUT..

- the game play is repetitive.
- weapon sounds are underwhelming.
- the lack if lighting, while providing atmosphere, gets old after a while.
- reading emails and listening to audio logs is not very... interesting.
- needs more cowbell.

exactly. it's nice to hear from people that call it as it is, rather than blow something up more than it's worth. and im talking in light of giving this game credit. graphics alone don't make a game, although for others it does. can you believe Creative is trying to get a patent made with Doom3. the sound is good, but it's nothing i'm saying, god damn i love my Audigy 2.
