latest Catalyst driver (v5.9) for users of Radeon graphics cards. The new driver promises plenty of bug fixes but what about performance? The chaps over at

TweakTown have compared the drivers on a Radeon X550, X700 and X850XT: to assume that this is due to the Radeon X1800

OMG these benchmark people are stupid. WHO HAS A SYSTEM LIKE THAT? How stupid can you get?! When will hardware reviewers use a common ground for testing? What does it tell me when I look at benchmarks from a machine way faster than my already fast pc? Tells me nothing. To me, based on his benchmarks the drivers haven't changed or they are going to actually be a lot slower. So far with 5.9's I haven't noticed any slowdown. Totally unrealistic way to measure drivers. Well we are glad he and other reviewers can solicit their nice machines in their reviews(more what it's really about), too bad for the majority of us smart consumers that didn't jump on the upgrade-ripoff bandwagon their reviews tell us dick.
