Who in sane mind would buy this?
First off, it's 10.91TB and not 12TB. The bigger they get, the ripped off you are with the false kilobit calculations (1000 vs 1024).
Second, you'll need at least two or three so you can put them into RAID5 or RAID6 because you don't want to lose ~11TB in one fell swoop.
Third, why would you want to store games on a HDD? It can't keep up with the read requirements of most games (except the really old ones that all fit onto a single SSD anyway).
They should stick to enterprise where these drives still make sense and they can capitalize on the characteristics of the magnetic recording vs. the silicon. |
