NVIDIA has taken the wraps of its new GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. With a library of over 50 games at launch, the service will cost $7.99 per month with the first three months free. Wow. Why would I pay that much for a steamed game when I can have it and play it locally for the same price?

Because it's for stupid people, obviously. I'd personally like to get all their streaming shit out of my drivers.

This idea is not stupid but current technology makes it difficult to market to everyone. Once high-speed broadband (that can support this service) is available to all at a low-cost, then it'll be like a Netflix service for video games. Until then, people may experience input lag and other difficulties that degrade the service's quality. Just need to give it time.

Hang on. It costs the same as on Steam and this platform.
Tell me, why would I choose this over Steam?
