yes, it does look awesome but there's dumb things too like you're in space and you can hear asteroids fly by... kind of ruins the immersion factor. |

This argument is continually happening in the Elite: Dangerous forums and probably the RSI ones too. The problem is a truly realistic space game would be the most boring thing ever so they have to base at least part of it in fantasy.
SC has gone completely arcade style with pretty much Hollywood style visuals/atmosphere. ED has gone the full sim route but had to make concessions to things like weapons having sound and fiery explosions in vacuum. |
