Quit spreading bullshit man. What are you trying to do, take over for Stumpus, the king of horse shit...? Spyware.. Pffft. Clearly, you are not a gamer, just a mouth piece of false propaganda.

"Look at me Mommy, I game without Steam"

"Good boy!!! Enjoy your Windows Solitaire game!"

Call it what you wish, Tom.. STEAM, like Origin, and ANY other software distribution/management system is yet another TSR running on the background scanning sh*t on my PC I'd rather do without thanks! Sure enjoy your convenience of patch downloading MEANWHILE they are gathering info on your habits and we have enough intrusive data mining on us all we don't need another LEST I mention what cycles are taken away when a client like STEAM is actually running silently doing WTF it wants.

Yes I am one of those who wants "off the grid" and a cloak that makes me hidden to spy sats. Very Happy

You don't have option to not have time logged on a game

You can't be online to steam friends and play a game through steam without it letting everyone know.

Your usage of steam and games are all collected statistics, there is no opt out.

You have no choice on not having advertisement deals thrown in your face when you start steam or stop a game.

the list of BULLSHiT with the steaming shit platform is pretty endless, still if I'm going to have use this shit because developers all flock it to it like flys to shit for the sales opportunity then what choice do you really have other than not buying or playing those games.

Hell some games you go and buy based on them not using fucking steam, only for them developers to then integrate there game into the steam platform, and kill there own third party launcher and account system which you didn't need steam account. Just a separate account tied to there website, which is generally the prefered game type.

If I was making a game and that desperate i'd integrate steam but allow users that signed up directly or purchased through my site to use a seperate launcher not tied into steam, there are a few of these games, while steam users don't need a seperate account on my site and just get updates through steam.. very few of these games.

And then of course there are also the developers who integrate into steam, you find there games on steam to download (but because the steam game page is so fucking shit and devoid of info like.. oh when you download this crap, you will then also need to go register on developers site for a separate account and use there launcher.. its a big a fucking joke.

Sad fact is to many fucking idiots don't care.

Problem/Dilemma is you cannot stop this managed software tool workflow from ever NOT being adopted as for the masses it makes coordinating and delivering, for example, content and patches so much easier and near transparent. Which s/w company doesn't like having their products advertised this easy much like Adobe Air which manages content distribution in the background ensuring you are notified of updates? This is just the future and, with technology apart from some X-Class Flare from the Sun EMP'ing the whole planet sending us all back to Medievalism OR some other apocalypse, you simply cannot remotely halt the march of progress.

I am confused. I have a QL account on their website and I play it (at least I used to) without having any connections to steam whatsoever.

Why put something that's free on Steam in the first place?
I guess it's another title I'm going to skip.

Saying Steam isn't spyware is like saying Gmail isn't spyware.
