Let me know when O. Rift has at least 3 mpx resolution and costs less than 600 euro. Until then - meh.

lol
VR products died back a decade ago already. (Or was it two decades? I'm so old...)
Xbox died a few months ago.
Kinect? Meh. People don't buy it due to privacy concerns.
You do the math.

Almost two decades now. But the kids all think they've discovered the Brand New Shiny Future(tm), so when you try to explain to them that the technology is fundamentally flawed and isn't viable at any resolution, they just call you old and curmudgeonly. That's fine, let 'em waste their money and learn the hard way.

For anyone who wants something much more usable and gaming friendly, I highly recommend Nvidia Surround triple-monitor combined with TrackIR. It works right now, it doesn't obstruct your view (important when using complex controls), and it's not expensive. I use that setup in iRacing and War Thunder every day.

By the way, I've tried both the ATI/AMD Eyefinity and the Nvidia Surround cards. The Nvidia solution is simpler to configure, much smarter and in my opinion produces a better image. Plus you don't have to put up with the unfinished crap that ATI/AMD call drivers.

I am saving for a house, but I'll look into that multi-monitor setup afterwards...

get a house with one extra room big enough for projector setup. Look online for dual projector 3D conversion and forget about monitors Very Happy My friend used to have this setup like 7 years ago when first F.E.A.R. came out, I was blown away. It uses external 3D box converter, polarization lenses for each projector, you can 3D anything you like and it has true depth. I haven't seen anything as good as that so far. Cinemas are probably better but I couldn't game in cinema so... Very Happy 3D TV doesn't come even close. Not to mention 5 to 7 meters picture diagonal...
