Arguably, all DICE games suffer from "netcode" and hit box registration
irrespective of lag, the consumate example of putting a mag into a
players back while hes standing still, then he turns around and shoots you once with a pistol and you die. They made a beautiful game in BF4
but with bullshit ballistic physics. I don;t think they'll be able to fix it or it
should have in previous titles. Maybe Frostbite 4 in BF5?
On the other side of the coin, I don't think there is a better shooter out
there at the moment. Even with these problems, a number of platforms
on variable connection qualities can still play the game. |

I play the game a lot lately, its really nice!
It has some really annoying problems thought. Mainly with hit registration.
On Normal mode its total bullshit. I hit next to a guy with a tank and no gamage done. I put a whole mag in someone and his left with 50 and more percent health, yet he turns and kills me in one shot.
The handguns have no bullet drop. I aim and shoot someone standing on the other side of the big satellite dish..... no problem for a handgun.
Despite those annoying problems this is the best game so far!
I miss the air strike function that the Recon had in BFBC2 |

I know precisely what's going on: they rushed an unfinished product out the door in an attempt to further inflate the grossly bloated EA bank account and don't give a crap if it works or not. They've got your money.
The solution is elegant in its simplicity: don't buy EA products. Ever. There are thousands and thousands of good games out there to play. Do not support shitty companies. |

I think they had plenty of time to fix the game. It was released in
Nov 2013 and now March 2014. All through 2013 DICE played up
how beautiful the game/graphics were and they were right. Never did
they talk about issues BF3 had with netcode and bullshit ballistics
and how better it would be in BF4. Possibly they were surprised at the
level of player disappointment and community negativity. Goes to
show that awesome graphics and visual wow do not trump game
mechanics. |

The game sucks period and the support it gets, late as usual, is nothing out of the ordinary. This is BF3 with updated gfx and all the same problems. |
