A designer at CD Projekt named Andrzej Kwiatkowski is working on a mod that overhauls The Witcher 2's combat mechanics. Judging by the changelog it looks like he's incorporating some of the improvements that will be present in The Witcher 3, including new animations.

I like the sounds of that. Part of the problem I had with combat in Witcher 2 was that it felt a bit clunky to me (granted it's an improvement over the first game). I guess I am spoiled by the more fluid controls found in games like Darksiders 2. If it becomes something like that, I would get a lot more enjoyment out of the game. Looking forward to trying the mod. |
