I've been playing it lately and I like how they did the cash shop for the most part. The sub fees and three tiers of membership seem kind of odd though. I think everyone should earn xp/cert at the same rate. If you pay a sub or a fee you should just get a lump sum every so often or whatever.
Game play wise it feels sluggish half the time. It's very consoleish in feel. Vehicles seem to be a little too important. I'd like to see atvs and sunders or trans ships be the only ones in the game. I'm sort of biased as I didn't care for the BF franchise much due to vehicles. There's a bit too much running around or down time even with vehicles. It suffers from the same problem in the first one where you're running to the fight for a long time then boom dead. It happens easy due to draw distance and being open world sadly. The deploy function can be cool at first but half the time drops you into the middle of the enemy which seems pointless. You end up having to spawn nearby (hopefully cross your fingers) where your team actually is.
It's a fun game but has major drawbacks even ones from the previous planetside. |
