So, in short: no games for Windows 8.
As a software developer, I would not want to code
if (Win8) then
...
else if (Win7) then
...
into rendering; it would be a waste...
So, devs will just use that's available on every platform: DX9!

Since almost every game runs on DX9, (for obvious reasons), I don't understand the need for more advanced graphics cards, neither...
On the other hand, the Nvidia drivers on Linux are getting better |
