As pre-announced yesterday, the promised patch (86MB) for
Painkiller (review) is now available, bringing People Can Fly's first-person shooter to version 1.2. The patch fixes many bugs and adds two new multiplayer maps.

wicked, I'll give this a go, interested to see how the prediction fares online and a new map. these guys could teach a lot of game devs out there how to properly support a game. Especially EA. _________________ Cheers,

| The new Painkiller 1.20 patch casued my game to lock up three times in a row ... went back to the 1.15 release and all is well. The new patch seemed to improve game speed as it 'predicts' movement ... but it causes lockup in the same intense part of the game. |
