Remember back in July 2011, when DICE claimed that Frostbite 2 was too complex and that was the reason why they did not release mod tools for Battlefield 3? Well, they were lying. Apparently DICE decided to lock Battlefield 3 because the release of those mod tools would ruin their DLC plans. As Gamasutra reports: B

Not the first time they lied and I'm sure it's not the last.
What I'm surprised about is that people actually fell for this. |

I'm not sure ppl fell for it as much as what could they do about it. We basically bought two games, original release plus Premium or individual DLCs, giving the game a lifespan of about 1 1/2 yrs. And argueably
forced to buy the DLCs if we wanted to continue with the MP component.
Alot of perks with it too only if you got it. Yes, I'd agree with ggrbot.
DICE has screwed with the weapon and veh characteritistics so many times, bullet physics is fantastical, failed to fix persistent problems even
since BF original, autobalance is still messy, the IRNV is honestly a cham,
and i could go on, a modder could probably crack and hack the whole game and who knows how much of it will fit into the Frostbite 3 engine.
Games like Joint Ops and ARMA series that contained mod and custom
tools seemed to have far less problems to me.
Overall, I didn't mind paying for the DLC. Many things annoy me about DICE and BF3, but it still rules the "military" style action FPS for now.
Any new map content added to the maps we already play to death is positive. |

This "game" is more "frustrating" than "fun", and i wasn't about it buy it a second time with the so called "Premium" scam. I didn't fall for it because I'm not stupid and I will never buy another EA game ever again. But there is a sucker born every minute, or every second these days, so EA is under no threat and will continue to prosper. |

lol, what a bunch of BS.
They are afraid of giving the code ? WTF.... anyone with the skills can get the code and write hacks, cheats or whatever.
Every developer can copy paste their whole code...
The truth is simplier, they just don't want people to create better stuff because DICE wont be able to sell their crap!
I am a fan of this game, you know. I enjoyed playing it. It's fun.
But that PREMIEUm shit is just a big pile of reused stuff that they sell... for the price of a new game.
The same props, the same stuff all over the maps. That's not worth more than 5 bucks.
DICE tells they boosted up the destruction and all that crap...
Bullshit! IN BFBC2 you could ruin the buildings, here they stay like faggets... So if they enable this in the PREMIUM shit, you know that they just didn't gave it in the normal game. Make you pay for something they have and sell it to you as extra special work hours pricesless shit.
No thanks.... im sticking with Shogun so far. Waiting for Trine expansion that i will pay gladly for and ROME 2 |

Game has been and currently is exploited to hell, just the drones who play it don't know a cheat when they see it plus the absolute shit death cam makes it even more convenient for cheaters. But this is typical EA BS. Lies and more lies. I refuse to touch another of these modern warfare POS. |
