PC Gaming may be dead, but if you look at current console games and the 6 hands you need to control it, you know console gaming is already dead too.

Meanwhile, the other reason why that is propagated so much is that Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are spending millions of dollars setting armies of PR people on you guys to tell you how great their platforms are and nobody's doing that for the PC.

Like how exactly do you do that? The PC **ISN'T** a set standard! No two PCs are the same in any dept other than OS.
If i build my own PC and the neighbour builds his for games it means absolutely jack $hit for the PC industry, since it's made of sub components made by vendors out to make money and nothing else.

The consoles are BUILT by leading names and don't have 'middle men', it's the most obvious way of making a games system for DECADES!
The PC doesn't know whether it's coming or going!!! It needs streamlined and regulated and above all, have a period of STABILITY.
All we ever do is download drivers, patches and security updates! We spend more time maintaining our PCs than playing games. If a game produces a glitch we then spend HOURS trying to rectify the problem = wasted game time.
Hardware is ludicrously expensive, another black mark! It should be the least expensive parts since we *supposedly* upgrade regularly and what with all those MILLIONS of PCs out there??

Bring out a regulated motherboard with built in hardware (not onboard defacto rubbish) but high quality components that we just install at will.
Bring ALL vendors down to one level playing field and the PC will live.
Keep producing gimmicks like AGEIA, SLI (please....Voodoo 2 days Zzzzz) and OVER charging for graphic cards which are an absolute joke and are superceded at will, and it deserves a kick in the bollocks!

A console is MADE for playing games and watching movies on an HD TV, PERIOD!
A PC is a multi-platform system, even if it was made for games it still carries BLOAT under the hood.
There is NO weight by anbody (other than M$) to champion the PCs cause.

He quotes Microsoft blowing its trumpet re; the XBox, well excuse me but WHO makes the OS for PC gaming!?!?!? Who then could change the WHOLE PC gaming standard??? Easy eh?, they have the necessary bucks and clout **IF** they wanted to.

The PC will never die, since it's obviously needed for making console games -how ironic eh Rolling Eyes

Just out of interest, I hired a 360 and the game COD4, well PC gaming may be dead, but the control clumsiness in console will make people bored too.

If they keep on creating games where you need 4 hands and both your feet to control a simple character, people will start looking for better hobbies.

If you look at the first games of MoH for example, those games started out peacefully, having a story, building up steady toward some climax, but todays games start out so nervously and the first level is already way too over-acted and over-dramatized, players' feeling and fun will actually stay at zero, because they don't need anything that starts with a climax and bores out the further you get into it.
