I played this game a bit at the neighbour. I liked not having to run around in a huge forest for hours in order to find a needle in the haystack. Mostly story and combat (Heroes of Might & Magic-like hexagon hybrid).
Replay value seems 0 as there are no real choices to be made. It seems each battlefield is hand-made, too - probably because they can't procedurally generate a good, playable environment.
The pre-rendered cutscenes look nice but they are crappy (i.e. slow) - I am guessing it's because they're stored in a Unity3D container. Most games have videos as individual files in order to avoid the overhead. Oh, well...
There are some FOV issues (I am on 16:10) (fisheye?).
Anyone knows why the GOG release is labelled 'Special' edition?
It's a bit expensive right now, but I might pick it up later. |
