this has been going on for a long time, people complained but Riot didn't care as long as they got the money. It seems they have now been sued and are forced to take action. "You had a weak password" excuse can only get you so far...
As it was said by Chinese account hackers: A mandatory monthly password change solves most of the problems and would make their "job" a lot more difficult. They went on to say that companies don't implement this on purpose bcs they like when a rich player get's hacked and then forced to spend money again. Not all do, but most do (they are dumb obviously, throwing money onto account that has dumb password, you can expect them to come back and do it again) |
