John Lowrie, a voice actor who has worked on several Valve games including DOTA 2, Left 4 Dead, Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2, claims that one of the reasons Half Life 3 isn't out yet is because Valve is waiting for better motion capture technology.

What about Half-Life 2: Episode Three ?

Episode 2 was made in 2007.

Like they are reinventing the wheel... Heavy rain and L.A. Noire have set the bar re mo-cap. Total bollocks! Games are costing more and more to produce, so the idea to spend millions more on next gen tech doesn't make sense? The hype train is getting pretty much overloaded these days, not much more room before it crashes...
