An Idea.
Have 2 cameras on the front of the OR so when your wearing it you can still see the room then augment it with the rift like the PS3eye does with things like eyepet.
Now that would be the ultimate FPS. Run around your own house shooting bad guys. (I know in America you can do that for real but in other countries you cant)

You've seen the videos of what M$ want to do with all that room projection stuff... well this would be the next best thing, OR with cameras. That way you can augment everything not just what the projector sees like the M$ one.

I remember the Oculus Rift developer initially saying that he would avoid consoles because they are slowly evolving technology (i.e. the whole 6+ year lifespan between each generation). However, I guess if Sony DOES provide significant funding, that may change. Just as long as Sony does not also halt progress in order to maintain compatibility with their system. Something that has held back the majority of PC games since they were built for the PS3/360 first.


In the short term though, I would love to be able to use the rift on both my PC and console.
