I want XCOM and MOM remakes. (Not wannabe clones.)
Just a bit higher res (1024*768 is plenty) - it does not even need to be 3d -, maybe nicer audio and run on modern PC - without emulators like DOSBox.
Controls, gameplay and game mechanics are perfect; leave those alone.

Fade to black is what I would like a complete remake of. God, I loved those Gouraud shaded polygons and gameplay.

I have Flashback on the mega drive and I played it on my mates Amiga, way,way back when Adam was a boy. Laughing

I'm even playing, Another World, on iPad -as well as having that too on Mega Drive. If someone had told me that 20+ years ago that I would be playing games like this on a touchscreen device, well... It's amazing where things have moved to.

+1 on that. I loved their menu system - it was the best in class. Maybe, it still is.
