Public sector lets people go plenty. You won't get your contract renewed or depending on your age retire early. Public sector jobs like Police/LEOs don't really get downsized unfortunately. They have tanks and shit half the time nowadays. Lean times for them are more or less cruisers that don't get updated for a decade or more or maintained well. Sometimes they freeze any hiring and cut back on overtime. Where I'm located LEO's can make around 80k a year with overtime and other avenues via training courses or prison work. That's way too much money for a high school education and some community college at best. |
