features such as advanced shadows and lighting. To date, this hasn't been possible - by a long shot - on mobile devices.

All the choice of words. If it runs at 1 FPS, it's called "runs" on paper. |

The power of mobile devices is such that they are getting so big they are nigh on a small tablet. Naturally they will play high end games in the future, but it's the battery that is the issue- as always.
My Asus Nvidia Tegra 3 isn't exactly a big tablet, but it displays quite incredible graphics and games obtained on the Nvidia Tegra store http://www.tegrazone.com/
Easily better than any handheld. |

I'm not really impressed by games running on a tiny screen. It's great that you can do something even if pointless. Touch screens are very limited in the type of games they're good for anyways. |

Depends how the game is configured? The 3ds xl has a thumb stick and a directional plus of course touchscreen. The Nintendo wii u has a 6.2" touchscreen and joysticks etc. some games work really well others don't. PC has had touchscreen gaming and most of it is just irksome...regardless of size of screen. |

I've been impressed by gaming handhelds ever since they first came out (even the crappy tiger games back in the day). Phones I'll be impressed when they're comparable to a PC and can run games while docked. They aren't there yet but might get close. The phones already cost as much as a laptop so I expect them to meet that performance metric before they become worth the money. |
