The planned remake of retro shooter Blood will not be happening after all. Monolith Productions founder Jace Hall revealed this week that Atari, the company that owns the rights to the game, has declined to continue the project. Dear Blood Community:
I just got an unusually short, one sentence e-mail from Atari,

What a joke. This remake is just Hall trying to get pats on the back from a lunatic fanbase. Look at everything Hall has worked on the past 10 years:
He produced the V remake, which never turned a profit.
He runs Monolith Productions, which has sold all their profitable franchises to other companies just to stay afloat (for ex. F.E.A.R.). The games they still own the rights to were horrible failures that only lost money. (remember Matrix Online?)
Not only does Jace have no money, but Atari is bankrupt and auctioning all their IP anyway.
So I don't know why anyone would want this clown involved with anything. |

That "clown" just wanted to do a source port so we can play the game without the shitty dosbox, so if you don't have any clue of the matter, stfu. |

And why does that need Jace Hall again? Protip: It doesn't.
He doesn't own anything anymore, he obviously can't afford to buy it back from Atari, and he's got a lengthy track record of screwing things up.
If the Post Mortem community weren't all retards, then instead of chasing pipe dreams, they'd be more concerned about setting something up to snag the rights for cheap when they're auctioned off. But then, if they're too stupid to figure that out, do you really want them in charge of a source port? |

That "clown" was just feeding you a line of BS and you gobbled it up.
Do you really think he was trying to get the source rights for YOUR benefit?
It sounds like you are the one with no clue. |
