Just a few days after launching their Wildman Kickstarter, Gas Powered Games has laid off 40 people. The company is still alive but operating on a skeleton crew and Chris Taylor is debating on whether or not to cancel their Kickstarter. WTF.

Well, they have not released a decent game for years. Without income it's hard to pay employees, no doubt.
What I don't understand is: why did they stop making games while they still had the money?
They made quite a few good titles. |

Precisely. Companies come and go for the same reason every day.
So, I am not sure why it made it to the news other than 'GPG was a fairly good game studio, it will be sorely missed'. |
