Microsoft seems to have covered up the initial, massive Xbox
720 leak that we saw earlier this year pretty well. You should remember
the now infamous Fortaleza document leak,
which apparently revealed the main specifications of the next Xbox, notably
the addition of Augmented Reality features, Xbox Glasses, B

All bullshit unless it's in your hands and for sale. Had enough of that rubbish with every game that has been in development. Then it's released and the wool has been pulled over everyone's eyes as usual. Best one for that was Peter molyneaux and black & white, or Crysis.
Don't even go there with hardware.
Hype to sell as, per everything in the industry. Early adopters love it but never, ever learn. |

Does MS use a special connector for regular sata drives to prevent use of your own? The only thing that interested me about xbox when it first came out was the ability to mod it and make it a media center. I don't know if that's what the new xbox looks like but it's generic. Better than the others though. I dig how the wii is a small brick and had so many different colors eventually. I'm hoping eventually I can get something like the wii or wiiu size to run xmbc and just push media from my nas. WDTV streaming box is tiny but limiting (no browser so no streams unless youtube live). |

I have an HTPC running XBMC. Dual core AMD processor with nvidia card. I don't need any console bs for a media server. I used to have my PS3 as my media server running Linux until the assholes removed OtherOS. Since then it's been HTPC and that's how it stays. |

Same here, with Intel processor an Nvidia onboard video.
MS will want to offer people some services and charge for it - which might go on for a short while but die in the end. |
