Do you have some funny flash on your computer? Do you want to share them with your friends and hundreds of millions of people worldwide? If you're interested on how to make flash video available on Youtube, this article is right for you!

This article includes two parts:
1.YouTube and file formats YouTube supports
2.Guide to upload SWF file to Youtube.

Part One, YouTube and video formats supported by Youtube

YouTube is a video-sharing website where people can discover, watch, upload and share videos. It is a subsidiary of Google now after YouTube, LLC was purchased by Google Inc. in November 2006.

Here are some features of YouTube. It allows online user to:
•Browse all videos uploaded by youtube members
•Upload and share videos all around the world
•Embed YouTube videos into websites using special video embed code
•Find, join and create video groups to connect with people
•Subscribe to member videos, post comments, save favorites and create playlists

But not all the video can be uploaded to YouTube. YouTube can recognize these popular video and audio formats as following.

•.MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files (supporting h264 and mpeg4 video codecs and AAC audio codec)
•.AVI
•.MPEGPS (MPEG2 video codec and MP2 audio)
•.WMV(Windows Movie Maker)
•.FLV

Part Two, Guide to upload SWF file to Youtube

From the formats mentioned above, we know we can’t directly upload SWF file to Youtube. Then what we should do? Aha,it is very easy to solve this problem. You just need a SWF converter which can convert swf to flv or other formats youtube accepts. Moyea SWF4Tube Converter is focused on converting SWF to FLV web use. For more details about how to convert SWF to FLV, please see this tutorial

Note: Except the right format, you also should make sure that your video is less than 10 minutes, smaller than 2GB in size. After you get the video in the right format and with right size, you're ready to upload it.

Step 1: Log in your youtube account.
If you don't have an account, you need to complete and submit sign-up form to create a youtube account. This step is not required if you already have an account.

Step 2: Choose the very video you want to upload.
Log in to your account and click the “Upload”tag at the top right of any YouTube page and choose the very video you want to upload.

Step 3: Make a description for your video.
Now You need to provide some information including Title, Description, Tags, and Category). You're not required to provide specific information, but the more information you include, the easier it is for users to find your video!

Step 4: Set your video to be Public or Private and upload video.
On the next page, you need to specify the privacy settings. If you'd like anyone to be able to view your videos, you should select the "Public" option.Otherwise, , choose "Private."

Step 5:Then click the “Upload Video” button to upload it. After the upload is finished, you will see the completion page.
