What AMD needs to do A.S.A.P. is approach every major game developer and come into an agreement like nvidias the way it was meant to be played. Also they must work very closely with those developers, aside from a stupid logo, so the new games can take full advantage of AMD hardware. |

pointless idea whilst PC hardware has no shelf life....
As i have commented on before, hardware needs to remain stable for several years for this to work -in other words the same as a *console*!
A 'one stop shop', then all you buy is the games without hardware worries.
The other idea is that AMD *makes* the WHOLE PC and then sells it with a minimum guarantee that it WILL play games for several years.
Too much old/new bits and pieces floating around in everyones PCs at the moment. That's why the PC is a loser as a stable platform games machine AND why dev's WASTE time churning out games that play minimum SPECS, when they should be running MAX specs at point of sale -just like a console, except it being a PC. |
